“It has always been a dream of mine to attend school at Elms, growing up here in Chicopee. In high school I did a summer program where I got to stay on campus.
“Traditional college didn’t work for me. Life didn’t let me be a traditional college student. I went back to school many years later. I decided to go into nursing when my youngest child was 4 months old.”
“When I had the opportunity to do the RN to BSN program, I knew I wanted to come here.”
After earning her associate’s degree in nursing and beginning work as a registered nurse at Cooley Dickinson Hospital in Northampton, she enrolled in Elms’ RN to BSN Program, a 12-to-15 month curriculum designed for working nurses that balances academics with the demands of both work and life.
